The deadline for symposia proposals has passed.
Primary contacts will be informed of the decision of the Scientific Committee by April 1, 2025.
Presentation format (60 minutes)
Symposia will consist of a series of in-depth scientific and state-of-the-art lectures in important areas of concussion research that will bridge the impact of best practices and policy in concussion across the lifespan. Presentations are followed by a 30-minute moderated discussion period, including audience participation through Q&A. Symposia should include a maximum of 3-4 speakers and a moderator (Note: The moderator can be one of the speakers). The CCN-RCC annual review committee strongly encourages inclusion of speakers with wide-ranging perspectives (e.g., clinician, industry or community partners, persons with lived experience), as well as the inclusion of trainee members on each panel.
Content
Focus of proposals can include one or more of the following four themes: Prevention, Detection/diagnosis, Prognosis/modifiers or Treatment of concussion. Content can highlight methodological approaches, knowledge translation, industry/commercialization or community partnerships, and/or early career contributions.
